Customer Comments

Numerous visitors have commented on the lovely atmosphere at this market.  The following are just some of the comments we have had that will give you an insight into how people appreciate our friendly crafters and their quality, unique NZ made products.

 Jan from Brisbane:

“We’ve travelled all around New Zealand visiting as many markets as we could.  Today is our last day.  We go home tomorrow.

This is the best market we have seen.  The quality of the crafts here is excellent. We wish we had come here first.”

 Alan from Melbourne:

“This is a great little market.  There are lots of different things here that are easy to pack in your bags.”

Joanne and Bill from Perth:

“We’ve just bought two copies of ‘Sammy Two Shoes and the Bumble Bee’ for our grandchildren.  What a great little book.  Gavin even signed it for us.”

Mary from Scotland:

“I’m going home tomorrow.  I just had to come back and buy some of your paua jewellery.  It’s so different from what I’ve seen in other places….and the prices are so reasonable.”

Couple from Liverpool:

“We’re here to buy some gifts to take home.  Your native woods with the lasered NZ birds are really special.”

Grandmother from Adelaide:

“I’ve bought a couple of the fabric books.  I was told you can wash them.  They’ll be great for my little grandson.”

Visitor from Australia:

“What beautiful quilts.  I just love the colours and designs.”

Visitor from Australia:

“Zad’s paintings are exquisite.  I’ve bought two prints….I’ve got just the place for them at home.  If I wrap them carefully I can take them in my hand luggage.”

Local folk have also bought Zad’s prints to send overseas.  They say they’re a light package, and the paintings of our beautiful seaside village are just what they want their friends and relatives to see back home.

Local folk from Howick:

“This is the first time we’ve come.  We’ve been all over looking for gifts to take to Australia with us next week.  We had no idea you have such lovely things at such reasonable prices.”

They bought seven gifts to take with them.
